Competition Don't forget, folks, you still have a chance to win one of Samsung's rather desirable 830 SSDs in Reg Hardware's latest competition.

Very desirable

We were rather taken by the Samsung 830 - we reviewed it here - which is not only capacious but also comes bundled with some powerful and very useful utilities.

Not convinced? How about the fact that, in terms of performance, the Samsung 830 delivers some serious competition to its rivals?

Especially if you have the chance to get your mitts on one for nowt.

Pop over to our compo entry page, answer the simple questions and cross your fingers... a Samsung 830 SSD could be on its way to you soon. ®

Re: Not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth, but....

Does that mean we're stuck with those wanky samsung adverts on here until October?

Don't bother if you're not in the UK <EOM>

Re: Tb

Gb is still closer by far (1/8 as opposed to 1 000/8 [or 1 024/8 depending on the choice of base unit]).

I'm not from the UK, but I'd recommend y'all wait till they review the one with the 520PB/s sequential read speed.

Tb

If the drive is 256GB, which answer is closer, 256Gb or 256Tb?
