The big-screen LG Optimus 4X HD has joined the growing list of quad-core party members, with the company's Nvidia Tegra 3 powerhouse shipping across Europe this week.
As with most of its sexy quad-core rivals, the 4X HD tries to seduce with a saucy screen. Here it's a 4.7in IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720, an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a pixel density of 313ppi.

First unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2012, the 8.9mm thick Optimus 4X HD [1] rocks Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich spruced up with the new Optimus UI 3.0, all of which promises to hold out well through the larger-than-usual 2150mAh battery.
The company says this is also thanks to proprietary SiO+ technology, which apparently provides high energy density in juice packs with smaller form-factors.
Other specs include 16GB of built-in storage, a front facing 1.3Mp webcam and a rear-facing 8Mp camera, an MHL port [2] and DLNA compatibility.

The Germans are the first to get their hands on the LG Optimus 4X HD, with the phone available from today, but widespread European release - including a UK rollout - is set to follow shortly.
An exact RRP has yet to be set, but you can expect it to be competitively priced up to rival the Samsung Galaxy S III [3] and other high-end smartphones. ®
