Sony starts taking advance orders for PSN titles

Ready to play... on release

Gamers can now pre-order upcoming titles through the PlayStation Store and have content downloaded automatically on release - or ahead of it, with the activation code coming through on the big day.

If auto-download is switched on, the console will come to life from standby and begin the download as soon as content is available. It'll start in the background if the PS3 is already being used.

Sorcery

This is a feature already offered by other games download services, such as Steam.

The first up for pre-order through PSN is Sony's Sorcery, seen above, a Move-compatible title due later this month. ®
