Top DARPA bomb boffin in explosive move to Google
Counter-terror expert disarmed by Choc Factory's charm
Google has reportedly poached DARPA chief Dr Regina Dugan, who will apparently shortly be joining the Chocolate Factory as a top exec.
According to Wired , Dugan is quitting her job at the Pentagon's research arm because she couldn't resist Google's charms.
It's unclear what her exact role will be at the world's largest ad broker.
The counterterrorism expert, who knows how to defend against "explosive threats" , only joined DARPA in July 2009 as the Pentagon's 19th director of its research projects agency.
Dugan, a doctor of mechanical engineering, holds multiple patents , including one for an interactive security screening system and another for a visitor control and tracking system.
Wired reported that Dugan, who is the first female director of DARPA, would be leaving the agency in the next few weeks. ®
