Sony showed off its take on the Asus Eee Pad Slider: a 10in tablet that incorporates a slide-out Qwerty keyboard.

Dubbed the Vaio Hybrid Concept, the tablet's branding - it's part of Sony's laptop and all-in-one desktop family - hints that the machine, should it ever be released, may run Windows 8 rather than Android as the company's Tablet series do.

The unit has a couple of proper USB ports. Docked in the front is a stylus to make controlling the on-screen pointer more accurate.

Alas, there's no word when - or even if - Sony's tablet-laptop hybrid will go on sale. ®
