C2000 boss moves upstairs into Tech Data Euro role
Andy Gass replaced by distie's sales director Peter Hubbard
Andy Gass, the boss of distie behemoth Computer 2000, has confirmed that he is handing over control of the UK business to sales director Peter Hubbard as he moves to a European role with parent Tech Data.
Channel veteran Gass took the reins at C2000 - the UK arm of Tech Data - in 2006 having previously directed operations in northern EMEA. He is set to become regional senior veep overseeing the UK, France, Italy, Iberia and the Benelux, with the in-country managing directors reporting to him.
"I am delighted with the promotion and looking forward to the new challenge," Gass told El Reg. "I am leaving the UK in the firm hands of Peter who has established himself with the staff and customers over the last few months."
Hubbard, who only joined C2000 in early June as UK and Ireland sales director, was previously a director at Cloudbase Systems and prior to that was a GM and veep at Dell for twelve years. ®
