The BBC homepage is on an outage at the moment, with visitors greeted with a stripped down version of the normal site.

Ye-es, very informative. Anyway, clicking on any of the links takes you to the normal versions of the news sites, television sites, sport sites, etc.
The last such incident was [1] at the end of the March, when the entire BBC web network fell offline for an hour during the night, after what Auntie described as "a major network incident". ®
