Amazon has yet to release the Kindle Fire, its 7in Android-based tablet e-book reader, but it's already being claimed that the firm has chnaged its mind about the Fire 2.
Originally said to be a 10.1in job, the next Amazon tablet will actually have an 8.9in screen.
So say moles from within "Amazon's supply chain" - LG and/or Chunghwa, presumably, as these are the two component makers supplying Amazon with screens [1], says Digitimes.
Not that a 10.1in Fire is out of the picture - said sources claim Amazon may yet release one later in 2012. And maybe a 9.7in model too.
All it needs are 5in and 8.2in Fires to complete the set… ®
