Buffalo intros Pogoplug-powered personal cloud drive

DIY Dropbox

Storage specialist Buffalo has hopped onto the "personal cloud" bandwagon, launching a big, black box you can use to create your own answer to Dropbox.

And no mere 2-5GB of free storage here: this boy comes with either 2TB or 4TB of storage capacity - and no annual subscription, either.

Buffalo's CloudStation uses tech supplied by the doyenne of cloud gadgets, Cloud Engines, best known for its Pogoplug devices, each rather better looking than Buffalo's slab of a drive.

Expect to pay around £240 for the 2TB model and £350 for its more capacious sibling. ®
