TVOnics will add BBC iPlayer to its Freeview HD set-top boxes on Friday.

The 26 August update will be delivered through the manufacturer's website. Just download it it a USB stick, plug that into the DVR.

In addition to the BBC catch-up service - accessed through the red button on the remote - the new firmware will also allow future updates to be downloaded directly to the set-top box.

The update applies to TVOnics' DTR-HD500 [1] and DTR-Z500HD [2] boxes - click on the names to read our reviews of them. ®
