Facebook has made it easier for developers to test apps they create for the ginormous social-networking mega-site.

"Today we are announcing the ability to create and add Test Users to your apps from the Developer Site," writes [1] software engineering intern Chris Dentel [2] on Facebook's Developer Blog.

Devs have been able to create Test Users [3], which Facebook describes as "invisible user accounts associated with an app created for the purpose of testing the functionality of that app", since November [4], but doing so required writing code [5].

Tuesday's upgrade allows devs to create those invisible app-testing friends, Dentel explains, through "a simple user interface within the Developer App."

This latest developer-tools addition is part of Facebook's Operation Developer Love [6] program, announced last October, which intends to address dev's needs and concerns about the social-media site's developer program [7]. ®
