The Royal Mail tells us about its private cloud projects

A tale of virtualisation

Broadcast: 11am Recently we brought you the feelgood tale "Royal Mail Moves to the Cloud" , in which intrepid Adrian Steel and his trusty sidekick Glyn Knaresborough migrated 30,000 desktops into the cumulus - and lived to tell Reg readers their heartwarming story. They were so good, we had to give them easter eggs and make them answer all the questions we didn't have time to include in the show.

We're not fools. Box office was so good, they're back to bring us the surefire summer blockbuster "Virtualisation to Hyper V: Inside the Royal Mail's Internal Cloud", the story of what RM is doing with its servers, why, and what we can learn from the trail they blazed.

We won't tell you whether it's a drama, a comedy, a horror story or a romance. You'll have to watch it and see. But we can tell you it will have thrills, surprises and edge-of-your-seat suspense. You will shed tears, in a good way.

Join us today at 11:00 BST for this free event by registering here. If you are unable to make the live broadcast you have the opportunity to watch it at your own convienience by signing up for our on demand edition.
