Apple has inadvertently confirmed the arrival of a rumoured update to its Time Capsule network storage device.

The company’s web site touts the 2TB and 3TB models but the 'Buy now' links on the US web site take you to the older 1TB and 2TB versions.

Recent US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filings - not to mention the customary rumours - also suggest the AirPort Extreme wireless base station is destined for a refresh and is likely to be based on the three-stream standard - MIMO 3x3 - for 450Mb/s over both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. ®
