Samsung is reportedly gearing up to release a second generation of the 7in Galaxy Tab, one year on from the launch of the original Android tablet.

According to Italian site HDBlog, the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 will come with a dual-core 1.2GHz processor [1], 1GB of Ram and Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread rather than last year's Froyo. The slate will pack a 7in WSCGA IPS LCD display and is reportedly hitting shelves this September.

While the company has already announced the Android 3.0 Honeycomb-based Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 [2], there has been no official word on this fresh-ish 7 incher, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear more. ®
