Agentless Backup is Not a Myth
Sony will reactivate its Qriocity video- and music-on-demand services today following their post PSN-hack [1] 20 April shutdown.
The services will resume in all countries in which they had already been launched, with the exception of Japan. There the service will remain deactivated. Sony didn't say when it might return.
Qriocity is not only available through Sony's games hardware but also its internet-connectable Bravia TVs and Vaio PCs. The service launched in the UK [2] in November 2010.
Tied to the PlayStation Network, Qriocity was inevitably affected when Sony shut PSN down after it discovered that hackers had got in and nicked users' names and passwords [3]. ®
