If there’s an “oops” moment here, it belongs to the game publisher rather than Australia’s Classification Board, but Electronic Arts’ unannounced game Burnout Crash has been unveiled [1] because the Board gave it a PG rating [2].
The game is described as multiplatform, and gets the rating on the basis of “mid-level” violence.
Burnout Crash is presumed to be a revival of the Burnout franchise, dormant since 2008.
As a number of gamers’ sites have noted [3], an EA engineer’s LinkedIn profile identifies at least the PS3 and Xbox 360 as target platforms for the game. ®
