Hybrid on ice

Security for virtualized datacentres

BMW's upcoming hybrid e-car, the i8, has been spotted on ice, running through the motions in cold weather testing.

Enthusiasts will be pleased to finally see some imagery rather than just the vague concept sketches of the BMW's i sub-brand, we posted last month.

There's some exclusive videoclips too, also from BMW enthusiast site Bimmerpost, which shows the i8 gliding over ice like Pierce Brosnan's Aston Martin in Die Another Day. Well, almost.

However, the Vision Efficient Dynamics concept, from which the i8 takes its design, is set to be featured in Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol, so it certainly fits the espionage bill. ®
