Mini me in 3D

Agentless Backup is Not a Myth
Many of our children, perhaps even our spouses, have had aspirations of becoming a model. Now it's possible to wind them up by turning them into one - 'figure'-atively speaking.
French 3D printing firm Sculpteo is now offering a way for punters to transform photos into 3D models which can then be physically created and posted over.
All you need is a couple pics - front and side - and for about 50 quid Sculpteo will work its three-dimensional sculpting and colouring magic.

Go to the Sculpteo website [1], upload your snaps and decide on the size you'd like from 70mm to 150mm. When you've paid, Sculpteo's artists will get to work creating a 3D model, which is subsequently emailed over for tinkering and approval.
All you have to do then is wait a few days, and you'll receive your mini figurine in the post, Sculpteo said.
Sculpteo will set you back €60 (£52) for a 70mm model, €90 (£77) for one that's 100mm, and €180 (£155) for a 150mm figurine.
With the digital design complete, users can order as many statues as they like for a lower cost too.
Let us know if you create your own and how it goes. ®
