Agentless Backup is Not a Myth

FireCore has issued the first beta release of its second-generation Apple TV hacking tool, aTV Flash.

Dubbed aTV Flash (black) [1], the tool opens up the Apple TV to install extra apps and remote access tools.

The beta release slots in a web browser, Last.fm support, a Plex client [2] and an Apple TV-hosted updater.

FireCore charges $20 (£13) for this, though it'll go up to $30 (£19) when aTV Flash (black) is completed.

Of course, enterprising hackers can save themselves the cash and do the job themselves using reaily available tricks and tools - take a look at Awkward TV [3] first. ®
