Asus has outed [1] its first netbook based on the just-announced dual-core Atom N550 [2] processor.
Step forward, the Eee PC 1015PEM, which combines Asus' curvy seashell design with said 1.5GHz CPU [3], 1GB of DDR 3, 160-320GB of hard drive storage, 802.11n Wi-Fi and all the usual netbook portage.

Well, almost - this boy has a pair of USB 3.0 ports and Bluetooth 3.0 for all those next-gen peripherals you don't own yet.

The whole lot sits behind a 48, 56 or 63Wh battery - depending on SKU and where in the world you buy one - for up to 13 hours' untethered runtime, though that's with Asus' underclocking Super Hybrid Engine operating.

All we need to hear now, Asus [4], is when you're shipping the darn thing - and what you want for it. ®
