Yesterday, we wrote that Vodafone was to sell RIM's BlackBerry Torch 9800 in the UK.

Our headline was wrong - we used the word 'exclusive', when we should have written first of the block - and we have changed the headline to reflect this.

For unlike the US where AT&T is getting a first run, RIM is spreading its affections with UK cellcos.

Orange UK is on board - although it doesn't have its act together yet on the publicity front, today issuing perhaps its shortest press release [1] ever, confirming it will stock the Torch.

Also demo units at RIM's London press launch yesterday all contained O2 SIM cards, according to people who were there. Which is a bit of a giveway, really.

Which leaves T-Mobile, 3 and sundry MVNOs to show their hand. Surely they can't be so very far behind.
