Agentless Backup is Not a Myth
Postcards that take longer to return from holiday than the sender are a pain for those of us who observe the age-old tradition of holiday hellos.

Not to worry. eCard Media [1], a firm based in Devon, has the solution. The Postcards App [2], a free download, allows holiday makers to create their own postcards through an iPhone or Android device.
You upload an image and write a personalised message. Details are forwarded by FTP at 4pm each day to a printing firm in Dorset. Seventy-five minutes later, the cards are printed and collected for international dispatch.
In a two-month trial, 18,000 holiday-goers sent such postcards and the App already sits comfortably in the top 30 "free stuff" of the App Store travel section.
Processed through PayPal [3], a postcard sent to the UK costs 99p, and £1.49 when sent overseas.
