As well as announcing new downloadable content for Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar is promoting several RDR multiplayer events happening over the next few months through its Social Club.

Eight scheduled events have been organised for users to play against members of the Rockstar team, including some of those who helped create the game. The last two events will return to Liberty City for some GTA action.

If you're not confident enough to throw your hat down and simply want to spectate, there's live video streams of each event and a chat too, to heckle and discuss.

The first event is on Tuesday July 13 for PS3 users. The first Xbox 360 event is July 24. For further details, check the webpage.

In order to join the fun, users must become a member of Rockstar's Social Club. It's free of charge.
