Sony Ericsson has begun releasing a firmware update for the Android-based Xperia X10 handset - reviewed here [1].
The new software is being pushed out over the air on a territory by territory, operator by operator basis, the company indicated. It is available in the UK to download, here [2].
According to SE, the update "focuses on improving the general performance, speed and responsiveness" of the smartphone. For example, it said, speed improvements have been made to messaging and the camera.
The release also includes a free back up and restore application so you’ll "never lose your settings and information". ®
