Want a netbook that will run for (almost) up to 14 hours? That's what Samsung [1] is promising its new 10in N230 can deliver.

You'll have to buy the version with the 66Wh battery, mind - there's also a 32Wh version that runs for a more standard seven hours.

Other choices include a 1.66GHz Atom N450 [2] CPU or a 1.83GHz N470 [3] - the latter, knocking the battery back a tad, we suspect, thanks to its 6.5W TDP; the N450 is rated at 5.5W - and a pick of 160GB or 250GB 5400rpm Sata HDDs.

All of them contain 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 - plus all the usual netbook features: webcam, Ethernet, 10.1in, 1024 x 600 display and Intel integrated graphics.

The bigger battery bulks up the N230 at bit: 34mm at its thickest point, compared to 23mm for the 32Wh model. They weigh 1.18kg and 1.03kg, respectively.

All the variants - which may not be available in all territories - will be out on 28 June. ®
