Caveat emptor

These drives seem great at first, but if you push them too hard, the controller keels over and they need replugging or a reboot of the host machine. Also, the error rate seems to come out of nowhere once you've been using one for a bit.

The Intel drives are a lot more reliable, even if slightly slower and much more expensive on paper.

Dodgy disks?

Yup, at least the first comment related to the failure rate: the writer had returned a Crucial SSD in favour of a Samsung. Can't remember what the other comments said.

What gives?

Aren't these the ones with the really high failure rate? Is that why all those comments have been deleted? If so, jolly bad show, reg- you're supposed to warn people off bad hardware, not hide the face to butter up advertisers.
