Panasonic hits the road to preach 3D TV gospel

Come and see the light. Stereoscopically

Panasonic will next month embark on a nine-week tour of the UK with the goal of turning Brits onto the joys of 3D TV.

The Panasonic Store 3D Roadshow will begin on 14 May, covering six regions within the UK: South West England, Wales, South East England, South Midlands, North Midlands and Scotland.

The tour will come to shopping centres and high streets already playing host to a handy Panasonic shop to which keen punters can hot-foot it to inquire about one of the firm's 3D-enabled plasma tellies.

We're sure many will. 3D undounbtedly has a 'wow' factor value, though we can't help feeling the novelty will wear off quickly. However, how many eager buyers will have their enthusiasm dampened by two-grand-plus price tags remains to be seen. ®
