Sony may be stepping away from the world of OLED TVs [1], but that hasn't stopped LG announcing it will release a 15in model later this month.
Unsurprisingly, LG [2] didn't mention how much the 720p panel will cost. We're still awaiting a response to our request for the price, but we're not expecting to be surprised by how low it is.
As a guide, Sony's 11in Xel-1 [3] costs the best part of three-and-a-half grand.

LG's EL9500: small size, big price
The TV, the EL9500, has a 1366 x 768 resolution and a ten million to one contrast ratio. LG said the 3.2mm-thick panel is equipped with 100Hz motion interpolation technology, and the telly will incorporate a Freeview tuner.

It also has a USB port allowing JPEG, MP3 and DivX HD files to be played on the screen. ®
