Satellite broadcaster Sky [1] has updated its Sky News iPhone app to provide punters - be they Sky subscribers or not - with live-feed general election coverage.

The app presents not only the top ten election stories but also Sky News live. Politics buffs can view information on previous elections - something more than 'Blair won', we trust - and locate constituencies on a GPS-enabled map.

On election night, results for each constituency will be updated as and when they come in, Sky promised.

The Sky News app is free and available from the iTunes App Store [2] now. ®
