Satellite broadcaster Sky has updated its Sky News iPhone app to provide punters - be they Sky subscribers or not - with live-feed general election coverage.

The app presents not only the top ten election stories but also Sky News live. Politics buffs can view information on previous elections - something more than 'Blair won', we trust - and locate constituencies on a GPS-enabled map.

On election night, results for each constituency will be updated as and when they come in, Sky promised.
