Asus goes all out for SuperSpeed USB
Says dozens of USB 3.0 products coming

Asus is ramping up the number of device it offers with SuperSpeed USB 3.0 [1] on board, announcing that more than 20 gadgets will feature the high-speed bus.
The Taiwanese company has already launched a USB 3.0 motherboard [2], introduced late last year, and is preparing one of its O!Play set-top boxes with a SuperSpeed [3] port.

But this week Asus [4] announced that a whole host of new mobos - for AMD CPUs as well as Intel chips - will be equipped with SuperSpeed, as with a pair of Eee Box nettops [5] - the 1210U and 1510U - and a trio of Eee PC netbooks: the 1015, 1016 and 1018.
The USB Implementers Forum - the industry body behind the bus standard - currently lists [6] 61 certified SuperSpeed products, from motherboards and PCs to drives, adaptors and controller chips. ®
