Samsung promises Euro 3D TV release first
Loads of kit out next month

Samsung reckons it will be the first company to release a 1080p LED-backlit 3D TV in Europe.
The South Korean giant will begin shipping 3D-capable kit in Europe in March, with additional members of its existing 8 and 7 series of LED TVs and 6-series LCDs. It will also release a 3D Blu-ray player, the BD-C6900.
3D plasmas TVs will also appear come "late Spring", as will 9-series LEDs and a home theatre rig, the HT-C6930W.
Samsung said in January that its is already mass-producing [1] 3D TVs.
All of the 3D models will feature built-in Ethernet connection and what Samsung called "wireless-ready capabilities", which essentially means they have a USB port that can take an optional dongle.
All the sets will feature Samsung's Internet@TV an online apps store, which will become the source for media player software from the History Channel [2], the Cartoon Network [3], YouTube-alike Dailymotion [4], Google Picasa [5], Lovefilm [6] and music video site Muzu [7].
Samsung pledged BBC iPlayer [8] would be supported too.
It didn't say anything about pricing, however. ®
