World of Warcraft auctions coming to iPhone

Virtual trading

Secure remote control for conventional and virtual desktops

World of Warcraft fans will soon be granted access to the game’s auction houses through their iPhones.

Publisher Blizzard has announced plans to add the feature to its free Mobile Armory app, which was released in July 2009.

Auction houses are described as the “central hub for buying and selling goods” in WoW. Such houses located in all of the title’s virtual cities.

Blizzard admitted that it still has some technical details to iron out before it can update Mobile Armory with auction house functionality. That may involve charging punters for the privilege. The company admitted that certain elements of the service will require the user to cough up cash.

An exact launch date hasn’t been confirmed. ®
