HTC Hero up for grabs
Win HTC’s latest Android phone and Copilot Live 8
Lucky Draw The Register is giving one lucky reader the chance to get his or her mitts on HTC’s latest Android phone — the HTC Hero, complete with a copy of CoPilot Live 8 with UK and European maps.
The HTC Hero includes a new user interface, multi-touch screen, 5MP camera and enhanced social networking functions. A slick 3.2-inch, 320×480 touch sensitive screen and Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and HSDPA/WCDMA connectivity. The Hero comes equipped with 512 MB of on-board memory with a microSD slot which can handle cards of up to 1 GB.
Compatible with GPS-enabled Windows Mobile and Android phones such as the HTC Hero, CoPilot Live 8 is the fully-featured sat-nav system that runs on your smartphone. There’s no need for extra hardware or on-going subscriptions, just start CoPilot on your phone, enter an address anywhere in Europe and off you go.
Both have received glowing praise from the Reg Hardware boys recently. The HTC Hero “is well worth checking out… it’s a fun bit of kit that looks great and offers loads of possibilities”. The CoPilot Live 8 “does a fine job of getting you from A to B and represents great value for money”.
