US comedian Drew Carey [1] has bid a $100k charitable donation for the @drew Twitter account - if he gains 100,000 followers by 9 November.

The account has been put up for grabs by Drew Olanoff [2]. He was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma back in May, and decided to auction off his Twitter presence in support of the Lance Armstrong Foundation [3].

Cue an initial bid of $25k from the Whose Line Is It Anyway? star, later upped to $100k if he hits the aforementioned followers target. He's currently at 30,000 Twitter admirers, and rising.

Another notable Drew rumoured to be eying the @drew account is Drew Barrymore [4], but she's apparently not the most enthusiatic Twitterer, and is keeping resolutely schtum on the matter.

Drew Olanoff also has a fundraising site [5] which entertainingly invites the public to blame their woes on his cancer. To date, 12,909 people have blamed 31,134 things on Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
