HP's second notebook etched with a design by Vivienne Tam

Tam’s latest attempt to turn the mini-laptop into a fashion accessory has seen her spray one of HP’s notebooks an off-gold colour, stencil three butterflies onto the machine’s lid and, well, that’s about it.

HP wasn’t willing to tell Register Hardware which of its machines Tam’s latest design will be etched onto. The original model used HP’s Mini 1000 series.

But a company spokeswoman did let slip that the butterfly-based model will be available early next year, while technical specifications are set to be announced later in 2009. ®
