One Laptop Per Child's former top security architect started a new job at Apple earlier this week.

Ivan Krstic joined the Cupertino-based firm on Monday. In his new role, Krstic will try to prevent hacker attacks against the Mac operating system.

"I have - at long last - found my new adventure," he wrote in a blog post. "After a great deal of deliberation, I moved to California and joined the local fruit vendor."

Krstic designed the Bitfrost security specification for the OLPC project. He left the not-for-profit organisation about a year ago.

Many will see his arrival at Apple as an interesting move for the vendor, which is clearly eyeballing potential exploits against the Mac OS. ®
