Palm Pré to launch right ahead of iPhone 3.0?

Sprint aiming for 5 June launch

Secure remote control for conventional and virtual desktops

A leaked Sprint document shows that the carrier could be gearing up to launch the Palm Pré in four weeks' time.

An anonymous tipster’s handed an alleged “internal Palm memo” to Boy Genius Report. It carries the simple but clear message of “Launch” at 12pm on Friday, 5 June.

That's three days before Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) kicks off - and with it the anticipated announcement of the next iPhone.

That potential launch date only refers to North America, Sprint being the Pré’s official carrier over there. A Blighty-based carrier or launch date hasn’t been announced. ®
