HTC's Diamond 2: coming in April

The phone was unveiled last month at the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona. At the time, HTC would only confirm that the handset would arrive in Europe during Q2 2009.

Expansys expects to ship the first Diamond 2 out on around 17 April, for £400 ($564/€447). It's accepting online pre-orders now.

The Diamond 2 has a 3.2in display that uses HTC’s TouchFLO 3D UI. The phone runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.

HSDPA 3G connections of up to 7.2Mb/s are supported and the device is set up for quad-band GSM/GPRS and Edge. You’ll also get a 5Mp shooter on the back. ®
