Dell streamlines channel biz exec team

Reasserts commitment to partners

Dell has insisted it is committed to its British channel policy amidst confusion as to whether it will replace its just departed UK channel director Andy Dow.

The computer vendor reiterated that it has simply rejigged its indirect sales management team and insisted it remains fully “committed” to its channel partners.

“We remain committed to our channel partners and see them as a key way for us to provide a great service to the many thousands of customers around the world that rely on them for advice, consultancy and service,” said Dell.

The company last month moved its general manager of Americas channel group into a new global role running the firm’s core channel business. It also gave Emmanuel Mouquet the job of running Dell’s EMEA channel unit.

Together with Dow's sudden departure after just a year with the firm, this has prompted speculation that Dell has streamlined its channel biz team, and that the UK post has now been dropped.

The official word from Dell on the matter is simply that it “doesn’t comment on executive movements”.®
