At last, the Paris IT angle

We're obliged to the New York Post for this week providing (http://www.nypost.com/seven/01202009/gossip/pagesix/paris_is_star_of_dumb_dance_150935.htm) a much-needed, albeit tenuous, connection between the galactically-talented Paris Hilton and the wonderful world of IT.
According to this report (http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/08/08/the-perks-of-being-the-myspace-cofounder-include-apparently-paris-hilton/), the blonde budding artist (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/01/20/hilton_artist/) last year hooked up with MySpace CEO Chris DeWolfe, and was over the weekend spotted hanging out with him at the Sundance film festival - described by the Post as now reduced to "a week full of D-listers making fools of themselves".
Having spent some time chilling in the "MySpace Cafe", the pair were "later seen sucking face at a party". A MySpace lackey reportedly said: "We don't comment on executives' personal lives."
The Post also reports that Sundance witnessed Hilton dump her New Best Friend - one Brittany Flickinger who won MTV's My New BFF challenge to win the eternal affections of the flighty amateur porn flick starlet.
Paris's MySpace presence (http://www.myspace.com/parishilton) appears to confirm the shock news, linking to MTV's sober account (http://remotecontrol.mtv.com/2009/01/20/bff-betrayal-paris-hilton-ditches-rent-a-friend-brittany-flickinger-at-sundance/) of the divorce. No matter, though, because Paris has no fewer than 195,167 other friends forever on MySpace to choose from, including former lifelong love Benji Madden (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=77066356).
Among the other Sundance highlights was the confrontation between a security guard and singer Robin Thicke, who has evidently been taking lessons from Naomi Campbell and screamed at the hapless bouncer: "Don't you know who I am?" Aficionados of obstreperous VIP behaviour will be aware that this line appears on page one of The Sir Elton John Guide to Public Etiquette. ®
