Juicy snippets regarding the upcoming downloadable content (DLC) for Grand Theft Auto: IV have emerged online, including the add-on’s basic storyline, a profile of the central character and the title’s potential release date.

Dan Houser, VP of Creative Development at Rockstar, told [1] newspaper USA Today that Johnny Klebitz is the DLC’s main character, replacing the main game's star, Niko Belic – although he has a cameo in the game’s new edition.

Klebitz “is a very different character than Niko”, Houser stressed. The virtual star’s a member of Liberty City’s biker gang The Lost and “has a very different background” to Niko.

Houser added that the DLC – which will only be available on the Xbox 360 – will show gamers a different side of Liberty City. But the DLC’s storyline isn’t directly impacted by the decisions you make while playing the game, as is the case in original version of GTA: IV.

It won’t be a very merry Christmas for Xbox 360 gamers already bored with GTA: IV though, because USA Today claimed the DLC – said to be titled The Lost and Damned - won’t appear until 17 February. A price for the download hasn’t been set yet.
