those geese on sentry duty during Roman Empire times, they would act as surveillance systems, squawking at any intruders.

Point is any technology can be used as a weapon, all weapons are tools, so I suppose the German 'Geeks' were outsmarted by the British 'Geeks', but then again the victor gets to the write the history books don't they.
