I'm interested in the Ion Tape2PC. But from the way it's described, I'm unsure if it will fully function on a Mac.

Despite the unit's name, I'd like to be able to save my old cassettes onto my Mac's hard drive.

Yes

Bought one for my Dad's birthday last weekend. He's a PC user, but as I remember it the software included was EZ Tape Convertor, which is PC only and Audacity with is PC and Mac compatible.

@Angela

Ion tells us the Tape2PC comes with EZ Audio Converter software, which will run on a Mac. The unit hooks up to the computer by USB.

Ion also provides Audacity, a free, open source sound editor to allow you to clean up tracks. Again, it's provided in both Mac and Windows versions.
