Cash'n'Carrion We're delighted to announce today that, following a request from Talkback Thames, El Reg's merchandising tentacle has dispatched a load of apparel and other paraphernalia to act as cast and set dressing for the forthcoming new series of Channel 4's The IT Crowd.

Thames got in touch after writer Graham Linehan posted a request on his blog asking for ideas as how the series might better reflect the wonderful world of IT. Naturally, fans of Vulture Central quickly suggested some Register kit might be in order.

Well, we can't guarantee that any of our stuff will make it to the small screen, but can offer two of you the chance to pop down to Pinewood Studios to see if our BOFH shirt, for example, is about to achieve TV immortality.

Yup, Thames has offered us a pair of tickets to the filming of The IT Crowd on either 3, 10, 17 or 31 October*. The lucky winners get to shmooze with the thesps in the green room before the cameras roll and thereafter join the audience.

So, you're wondering, how do I make my pitch for this unique opportunity? It works like this: On Friday, 26 September at 1pm UK time, we'll select at random one UK-based subscriber to our Cash'n'Carrion newsletter and immediately get in touch with the good news.

Should the winner be unable to make the filming on any of the available dates, we'll pick another subscriber and repeat the process, and so forth. Once we have a confirmed laureate, Talkback Thames will touch base to provide all the necessary details.

Simple as that. Good luck. ®

Note

* Filming kicks off at 7.30pm, so you'll need to get there by around 6.30.

Rules

  • The tickets for the The IT Crowd filming are available only to UK-based subscribers to our Cash'n'Carrion newsletter.
  • There is no cash or other equivalent. Should you come out of the hat and be unavailable to attend on the available dates, we'll offer the tickets to another subscriber.
  • You'll have to make your own way to Pinewood Studios - no stretch limos from the airport for you lot.
