Fancy a shattering ORG45M for £150k?

Or how about a hot PEN 15 for £99,995?

Providing a secure and efficient Helpdesk

A UK number plate dealer is offering drivers the chance to enjoy an ORG 45M for a cool £150k, or get their hands on a hot PEN 15 for a mere £99,995.

Regtransfers.co.uk currently has its PEN 15 screwed to some company wheels, as you can see here. A company spokesman said: "Whilst driving around with it on our company Smart car, passing motorists and their passengers have made many an interesting gesture as they took pictures on their mobile phones."

He added: "We have tried publishing this in a very well known national newspaper, but they banned the ad containing it. Which is strange really, as they are quite willing to print pictures of naked women every day of the year."

The offending tabloid is none other then the Sun. According to the Numberplates Club, having rejected the ad, the paper "subsequently published an article about a man with the largest genitalia in Britain".

In fact, the bottom of the soaraway Sun's news page today features a very short "Sun Spot" on the sale.

If and when ORG 45M does sell, it will by no means the most expensive UK number plate ever snapped up by someone with more money than sense. That honour goes to F1, which earlier this year went at auction for a whopping £375k.

Internationally, the current record stands at a truly absurd 52.2m Dirhams ($14.5m at the time), stumped by Abu Dhabi businessman Talal Ali Mohammad Khouri for a simple "1". ®
