Fujitsu Siemens Computers has expanded its Amilo PC range [1] with a netbook addition. The Amilo Mini is based on a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor running on Windows XP Home edition.

What really sets the machine aside from other netbook rivals, such as Lenovo’s S9 and S10 [3], is that FSC’s model boasts interchangeable covers. It comes with one dark red clip-on cover, but more can be bought separately, including a transparent one that lets you slip a picture inside.
FSC’s not willing to provide any further details about the Mini just yet, because it’s keeping all the juicy features a secret until IFA, which kicks off in Berlin later this month.
However, the firm has said that the machine will be available to purchase this autumn for around £300 (€450/$600).
