IT Angle

Taubaté is a city locate at the São Paulo state. Its distance from Rio de Janeiro (the city, not the state) is about 300 km - if Google Earth is to be trusted.

Is 300 km "near"?

Yes, Google Earth IS IT. So, I'm of the hook. :)

*cough*

But wouldn't it be cool to control a bot net with just a custom arduino board in your hand, perhaps where you click in the IP number to DDoS using morse code binary, to some Navajo tribal beat.

It is getting to the point where I am beginning to think it should be allowed to inform the users via the botnet system they are infected.

Just a simple message,

'Pack up your machine and return to vendor, please. You don't seem to care about the rest of us.'

DDoS is a real pain to stop, and can be used against nearly anyone, still the more botnet traffic the more infrastructure that has to be laid, so they better keep fibring.

Pirate

They are the internet version of chavs and, as we all know, there is no better place for a chav than 6 feet under pushing up daises.

Black Helicopters

I stand corrected.

But... is really necessary to post anonymous just for this?

Thumb Up

I used to think like that,

Looking at a worm that wastes thousands of man years globally. (I was once at a site that lost 20 man years to sassa.) It's tempting to say that these fuckers need to be culled before they waste anything else.

But where would it end?

Consider how many taxpayer-years are wasted on a million pound search and rescue operation because some dumbass surfer doesn't check the flags before they jump in the water... should we slaughter them too?

Hang on, if we got rid of all of the dumber surfers, it'd be much easier to buy a pint in Newquay... hmmm ... BRING IT ON!
