Agentless Backup is Not a Myth
Europeans could get their hands on a 3G-equipped Eee PC as early as... the end of September, Asus has indicated.
That's almost a year on from the Asian company's first public comment that it had such an offering [1] in the pipeline.
Since then, rival ECS has touted its G10IL 10in sub-notebook [2] with integrated HSDPA. It's expected to appear through a number of carriers in September or October, IDG reports.
In France, a number of enterprising phone sellers have bundled Small, Cheap Computers with USB 3G modems [3], and while that's an approach Asus has always been keen on, it's not yet managed to strike up such a deal in the UK.
Right now, the only way to add HSDPA to an Eee internally is to follow one guy's example and do it yourself [4].
