Perot Systems buys into Ireland

Perot Systems Corporation is buying an Irish application developer, Original Solutions Limited.
The Limerick-based company offers general business consultancy as well as specialised application work, keeping legacy systems working and "near-shore" services. The firm has 90 staff and turned over €9m last year. Perot Systems already has an Irish subsidiary in the capital Dublin.
Financial details of the deal were not revealed.
By comparison Perot Systems made revenues of $2.6bn in 2007. One-time presidential candidate and company founder Ross Perot remains chairman emeritus of the board, Ross Perot Jr. is chairman of the board.
Original Solutions' customers include Bank of Ireland, BT, O2, Ulster Bank and Vodafone. ®
